Resolution No. 82-36 (COR) - Therese M. Terlaje

Relative to posthumously recognizing the late Honorable Peter Charles Siguenza, Jr., former Chief Justice of I Kotten Mas Takhelo Guåhan, for his devotion to serving the public and improving the administration of justice and commemorating his lifetime of service to Guam; and to further expressing condolences to his family on his passing, on behalf of the people of Guam.

Relative to recognizing the Charter Schools of Guam on the observance of “National Charter Schools Week” from May 9 through May 15, 2021, with the theme: “National Charter Schools Week 2021: 30 Years Strong”; and commending Guahån Academy Charter School, iLearn Academy Charter School, SIFA Learning Academy Charter School, and Career Tech High Academy Charter School for their innovative and imaginative efforts to ensure the well-rounded education of our students and our youth.

Relative to recognizing Mr. William B. Wolfley on his retirement as a teacher with the Guam Department of Education; and further commending him for his 32 years of outstanding service to the people of Guam, the students he taught, our community, and our island.

Resolution No. 70-36 (COR) - Joe S. San Agustin

Relative to recognizing and commending Commander Jacob W. Segalla for demonstrating meritorious service in the performance of his duties as Executive Officer, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Marianas and Deputy Regional Engineer for Commander Joint Region Marianas (CJRM) in Guam, from July 2019 to May 2021; and to further express a sincere Un Dangkulu na Si Yu’us Ma’ase for his service to the people of Guam and the nation.

Relative to recognizing the Judiciary of Guam’s Adult and Juvenile Drug Court, the U.S. District Court of Guam’s Drug Offender Re-entry (DORE) Program and other therapeutic courts for being the cornerstone of criminal justice reform; and commending them for their commitment to providing support services needed to address substance abuse on our island, as they celebrate “Drug Court Month” during the month of May 2021.
